DT100 Throttle

a) Selecting a Locomotive
Before selecting a locomotive,
you must have a good battery,
turn on your throttle and plug the throttle into a LocoNet jack.
Press
Select.
Red
EXP light must be off. If not rotate left
knob counter clockwise until BARS appear in display then use right knob
turning
clockwise to select a 2-digit address.
Left
two digits are the Loco address and the
right two digits are the status of that address (see Status below).
Press
SET. Right two digits now become Loco
speed.
FOUR
DIGIT ADDRESS
Select
throttle knob you wish to use by rotating
that knob.
Press
Select.
RED
EXP light must be on. If not then rotate
left knob clockwise until light comes on then select left 2 digits of
address
using left knob and right two digits using right knob.
When
you stop rotating the knobs the status of
the address selected will briefly appear. Check the status.
Press
SET. The four-digit address will now be in
the Display

Address available never selected.
Address
available has been used before.

Address in use on another throttle. DO NOT
STEAL, find the other throttle and dispatch Loco.
b) Consisting Locomotives
To
add a loco to a consist:
Select
a lead locomotive address or consist
address on the right throttle knob.
Check
or select the direction of movement of the
lead locomotive.
Select
the locomotive address to add to the
Consist on the left throttle knob.
Ensure
the new locomotive is going in the same
direction as the lead locomotive.
Press
Mode until a dot appears under MU on the
display.
Press
+ (add) before the mode times out and
returns to LOCO
Separating Locomotives in a Consist
Before
removing a locomotive Consist, you must
plug the throttle into a LocoNet jack.
To
remove a loco from
a Consist:
The
lead loco or consist address should be in
the display and controlled by the right throttle knob.
Press
Mode/Dispatch button until a dot appears
under MU in the LCD.
Press
– (minus) button before the mode times out
and returns to Loco.
If
more than two locomotives were consisted
together, dispatch locomotive that is now on the left throttle and
repeat
procedure till all locomotives are removed from the Consist.
Locomotives
will be removed from the Consist in
the reverse order that they were entered. (LIFO Last In First Out).
c) Stealing a Locomotive
DO
NOT STEAL A LOCO UNLESS YOU WERE PHYSICALLY
RUNNING IT AND HAVE LOST CONTROL OF IT OR YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE
TRAFFIC SUPERINTENDENT OR ROADMASTER.
With
address of the locomotive showing on the
display and a status indication of 33.
Unplug
throttle from LocoNet jack.
While
pressing and holding the direction button
from the selected throttle side, plug the throttle into the LocoNet
jack.
You
should now have control of the locomotive.
d) Dispatching a Locomotive
All
Functions must be off and Speed set to zero.
Press
the SELect button.
Press
the DISPatch button.

a) Selecting a Locomotive
Before
selecting a locomotive, you must turn on
your throttle always have a good battery and plug the throttle into a
LocoNet
jack.
Select
throttle knob by rotating left or right
dial.
Press
SELect.
For
a 4-digit address, use both dials to set
address. Left dial for first 2, right dial for last two digits.
Press
SELect.
b) Consisting Locomotives
To add
a loco to a
Consist:
Select
a lead locomotive address or consist
address on the right throttle knob.
Check
or select the direction of movement of the
lead locomotive.
Select
the locomotive address to add to the
consist on the left throttle knob.
Ensure
the new locomotive is going in the same
direction as the lead locomotive.
Press
Mode the display will ask + or -
Press
+ before the mode returns to LOCO.
c) Dispatching a Locomotive
Make
sure the one you want to dispatch is active
on the screen.
All
Functions must be off and Speed set to zero.
Press
SELect then press MODE you only have a few
seconds or it will time out.
Turn
off your battery.

a) Selecting a Locomotive
Before
selecting a locomotive, you must turn on
the throttle and always have a good battery, plug the throttle into a
LocoNet
jack.
Press
the LOCO key.
Key
in the decoder address of the locomotive you
are to be operating.
Press
the ENTER or LOCO key.
b) Consisting Locomotives
To add
a loco to a
Consist:
Select
a lead locomotive address or consist
address on the right throttle knob.
Check
or select the direction of movement of the
lead locomotive.
Select
the locomotive address to add to the
consist on the left throttle knob.
Ensure
the new locomotive is going in the same
direction as the lead locomotive.
Press
Mode the display will ask + or -
Press
+ before it times out
The
cn on the left now means consist.
c) Dispatching a Locomotive
Make
sure the one you want to dispatch is active
on the screen.
All
Functions must be off and Speed set to zero.
Press
LOCO then press DISPatch.
SELect will re appear.
Turn

a) Selecting a Locomotive
Before
selecting a locomotive, you must have a
good battery and turn it on.
Turn
the dials to the address you want. Two
digit addresses start with 00 (e.g. 0015). Three digit addresses start
with 0
(e.g. 0124).
Now
PLUG IN the UT4 (you will get a green
light).
b) Dispatching a Locomotive
Plug
in your UT4.
You
have a green light.
All
Functions must be off and Speed set to zero.
Turn
one address selector to any other number.
Wait
until you get a red light. The address is
dispatch and you’re done.
Turn
off your battery.
5. DT300 and DT400 Battery Check
As soon as you insert the
battery you have two
seconds to look at the voltage.
Your
throttle must be unplugged to read the
voltage.
